Apply a sufficient amount before sunbathing. Applying too little will reduce the stated SPF. Avoid intense midday sun. Reapply frequently to maintain sun protection, especially when sweating, after swimming, or after toweling off. Protect babies and toddlers from direct sunlight and use protective clothing and sunscreen with an SPF higher than 25. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Even high SPF sunscreens do not provide complete protection against UV rays.
